PARANOID

FAQ

Did you invent this? No. zkAPI is by the Ethereum Foundation and the Open Anonymity Project, from a design by Vitalik Buterin and Davide Crapis. PARANOID runs the same idea on Solana behind one endpoint.

Can the gateway see my prompt? Yes. It has to forward it to the model. It cannot see who sent it or link it to your other prompts.

Can the chain see how much I use? No. Members are billed by time, per epoch, never per request.

My wallet deposited. Is it linked to my requests? Your wallet is linked to your commitment on chain. Requests prove membership of the whole tree without revealing which leaf, so the commitment is not linked to any request.

What if I lose my secret? You cannot make requests, and you cannot be slashed. You can still exit and withdraw with the wallet that deposited.

What happens if I use the same key twice? If two different requests spend the same slot, your secret can be recovered and anyone can slash your unspent balance. The app never reuses a slot.

Do I need Tor? No. Each conversation gets a fresh credential and your client can add cover traffic. Tor or a mixnet hides your network path further if you want it.

Is there a token? Not yet. After launch, a fixed share of every paid epoch buys it and burns it through a crank anyone can call.
